Quitting is becoming more and more tempting. Considering doing something entirely different. Private practice at this level has sucked the fun/intellectual creativity out of what I thought was my calling. Any tips? Very open to suggestions. Background: litigation

If you’re not as concerned about money, government work is generally more interesting than private practice. Definitely more creative.

Define fun/intellectual. For some, litigation is intellectual. For me, it’s like playing sudoku, trying to figure out where all the pieces fit

I don’t want to debate the meaning either lol, rather asking you what you think fun/intellectual means so others can help with responses. Agree w counsel, academia, perhaps, or consultation

I am bus lit but leaving for in house to become a generalist with a focus on operations. Other than in-house positions which is an obvious transition path, I looked at consulting and spoke with some people in PE space. Sales and real estate are other options if you can make good connections. Sales can be lucrative with the right company. Litigation finance also if you’re in a big market can be extremely lucrative.

What is the difference between Principal Design Strategist & Design Strategist?

My current title is the latter and I’m interviewing for a Principal role. The title suggests it’s more senior and would appear to be a promotion on my resume but the jd sounds similar to what I’m already doing. I’m currently and IC, Principal is also IC. The only nuance I got from the recruiter is that there is no actual designing in this role.

Is this a case of title inflation?

Hi fishes Will work from home in FIS continue atleast upto Dec 2022? Any idea? FIS Global

I got offer in Bangalore FIS and my husband got an offer with one big company in Hyderabad. Both companies are currently WFH only but in future, I might have to consider moving to Hyderabad. Fis doesn't have office in Hyderabad so I was wondering if I can ask permanent WFH later. I guess I will be put in fis payment solution.

Thanks in advance. Kindly let me know. FIS Global

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school
