Yes we are. You can live on less her if you live within your means and don’t focus on trying to impress people.
Making $180k and have been cozy since around $85k
Similar position, make around $162k and have not been stressed about money since hitting 90k.
I currently make over 100k but I was living comfortably making less around 75-80k.
$115k base and live very comfortably as the primary breadwinner in our household.
Making $160K TC and can barely afford Atlanta comfortably.
Where the heck are analyst making this much 😂
Making 203k as base still barely.
Redrum
125k base, live comfortable but don’t own a home yet
I made $665k this past year. Do you have a degree? It’s certainly possible to make six figures here.

Plenty of us are. But even at 200K TC, I am still taken a back at some the pricing in the area
Only unaffordable thing here is buying a house north of downtown and within the loop. Other than that, it’s pretty reasonable to live here on less (I moved here 2 years ago w 80k base starting, lived in Buckhead, was just fine)
$70k. I can not afford to buy a decent 2 bedroom property. Now that prices have finally dropped in some areas, I can afford to rent semi comfortably.
I'm at 72k and honestly just fine renting as a single person with no kids. I'm trying to find something closer to 90k so I can save more and get the car I want. I guess if you want to own property or if you have a family, I can see where it gets dicey. Otherwise, I'm able to afford necessary things, fun things, and still save a little. I see a lot of people getting by on a lot less and think comfortable means something different to everyone.
Oh also my specific job pays lower than some professional jobs. I would say most of my friends make closer to 100k or over (late 20s)
Everyone that said they make over 100k what type of work do you do?
Are you at EYP?
Moving there. Earn way over that right now but still can’t afford the house we want… fing real estate is expensive!!!
My spouse and I each do and live in one of the suburbs. Now, we did buy our house at the bottom of the market and it’s and my income more than doubled since the purchase, so that has helped.
I can't afford a house but I live comfortably in a 2/2 condo at 180k.
@SM1 absolutely! It fits well within our budget allowing me to pay off 6 figures of student loans in 7 years and it has a luxury pool I don't have to maintain! $1700/mo.
Yes closer to 500k
I’m at $135K and I’m feeling the pinch of inflation but it’s just a matter of budgeting better.
