Hi All,
I have joined cognizant yesterday. I came to know that office location is bantala in Kolkata. I do not want to work in bantala location. I have talked with my recruiter. But hs said offer location is decided on project allocation. How can I change the location to other location? If I leave the job will it be any problem?

I have offer of 20 LPA from Oracle IDC Pune. Project is related to Oracle Primavera Cloud. I had a discussion with the hiring manager and everything sounded good to me.
I just wanted to know if there are any red flags I should be aware of. So please help me fishes.

I’m thrilled to be able to recommend talented people for gigs, but if I take some time out of my day to read your note and respond with real information then a quick “Thanks!” is just good manners.
@ACD1 go to your room
👊 Manners and morals are more than myths, Millennials.
Don’t tell me what to do dad.
@CD1 I’ve actually found this behavior in X’ers, not the Big M’s. ☹️
Exactly. And to add to this — I can’t tell you how many times I ignore people’s requests for assistance or advice on Fishbowl b/c of how they phrase these requests.
Dang, I'm disappointed in my generation. Those M's are rubbing off on us!
Seriously though, don't mean to hit the M's too hard. I know many really awesome M's who are more considerate and more conscious of their interactions with colleagues and vendors than most other generations I've met. They were just a casualty of the alliteration required for my first comment to work. 🖖
I'm guessing someone didn't get thanked?
@CD2 more than once! And, yes, it annoyed the fuck out of me
@ACD2 that’s not right, either. But, that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about senior people asking for rec’s on talent to help them on specific, billable projects because they don’t have the network to find them themselves.
I had a CEO email me and I didn’t know anyone who fit his needs, but passed him on to another friend who I thought might be able to help. Added her to the email chain with a note. His response to my email? “(Person X), please scroll below to see what I’m looking for.” Which was rude AF, but she did it and provided some recommendations and he didn’t thank either of us.
Sadly, that’s just one example out of several
I’ve given former students detailed, constructive, positive creative feedback on their books when they emailed asking for it and received not so much as a peep (marshmallow or otherwise) in return. When I finally realized they weren’t actually asking for feedback but just wanted me to hire them or pass their books along, I stopped responding to those types of requests. Unless they had good books.
