November in the US is Native American heritage month.
Usaid contractor able to get a job at McKinsey!? Hint please!
Honestly they should get more than they do
Sorry someone took your promotion. Maybe try harder next time sweet pea?
OP - Every ethnicity that has immigrated to the US has received the "hate", Indians are no different. When masses of Germans arrived in the 1850-1900 timeframe, they were called all sorts of derogatory names, etc. When the Irish surge of immigration occurred, there was mass discrimination with many businesses posting signs NINA signs (no Irish need apply). When the Italians migrated, they were considered dirty and called derogatory names. The Mexicans were called lazy, the Puerto Ricans have been marginalized, etc., etc.. Pretty much any new group has received negative reception, but eventually becomes accepted. Indians don't get an appreciation month, just like the Irish, the Mexicans, the you-name-it. Why? Because we are all Americans now.
I have observed Indians bring over Indian worker's directly from Indian branch as senior managers and directors. I don't understand it, can't the indian partners find local talents for all these roles? why do they have to find resources from overseas
Nope... Indians all over the world should F back to India and make India great again!
It’s human nature to be tribal. We fear and loathe what we see as “them.” Unfortunately, the ever-growing dissatisfaction with globalization and “connected world” is exacerbating this.
No. White people and those who've shed their culture to assimilate to whiteness fear and loathe "them".
Yes! I love how the country is changing so quickly! My grandfather had a shared cultural tradition in a high-trust society. He knew his neighbors and didn't have to compete for low wages. Well not me! Bring on more foreigners and fast!
I think another month dedicated to the color of skin is just what this country needs. Nothing unites like what divides us!
Mark - it’s also foolish to enslave a whole race based on the color and then continue to discriminate against them. By claiming stuff like equality is a common denominator in the US
You’re right OP - we should hate everyone equally
Yeah we really need to celebrate foreigners discriminating against our veterans like Perficient allows and covers up.
I thought they fell under asian and pacific Islands month
Where is all this anti Indian propaganda coming from??? This is the third “why does everyone hate on Indians” post I’ve seen this week. As far as I’ve observed, Indians are highly regarded here.
Your food can taste good but oh goodness the smell of the curry can be absolutely appalling. I lived in an apartment and it wafted through the crevices and crannies because they decided it was ok to cook curry and I had to smell it every stinking day
It is strong smell. I live in a townhouse and it smells in my home all the time. My neighborhood is 90 percent India families. When you drive in the community, the smell overwhelms you.
Looking for a single family home now in a more mixture of cultures.
MC1 I appreciate what you are saying but shouldn’t we have learned from the past? Discrimination based on ethnicity is never really a good idea
SE1-I agree
I have a friend who moved to Kenya from the US. Took her a year to get used to everyone smelling like eggs so there’s that. People from different places smell like different things.
