I’m an MBB Manager. Studied abroad at a non-target school (BA and MA) and made my way up. I’m very proud of that, but also wondering if it’s worth taking 1-2 years off to pursue and MBA at an Ivy League. I don’t see myself in consulting long term + It’ll probably be fully paid for by me.

I started interviewing early Oct with a company that reached out via recruiter. The hiring manager was very straight forward with me that I was his top candidate and I was told all other interviews were very positive incl CMO. Recommendations for improving lower back / sciatica pain. Is there a seat cushion / lumbar support cushion that genuinely helps you? I’m all ears. I have a high quality office chair and try to use my desk in standing mode at least once a day and wear good trainers for feet support. But the lower back pain is a killer. I have been asked to train a new employee, who is also a senior associate, and it’s been three months but just doesn’t seem to understand our work. We do A123 control testing and have assigned him this one area to test and basically own. I asked him to complete xxx test plans so we can begin testing in the New Year and gave him specific instructions for completing the task. Despite this he is showing no progress and Manager is aware. Will his lack of growth affect me promotion wise?
