You interviewed in Australia without thinking about if you would want to live there?
Australia has a jovial American feel with a tangy British aftertaste. Highlights of their fare include Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef, a limited time offering. For those looking to order off the menu, their outback is truly amazing, but only accessible to those with an explorer’s mindset.
How did you make that work? Looking to move, Australia sounds like good choice
BCG1 - you know that feeling when you don't want to be where you are right now that you would do anything to get out? I was going through that when I applied. But now that I have the offer I'm second guessing it
^ stronger culture? More in your face and less hidden under fake PC but I've experienced just as much racism here. Just different.
Congrats buddy. How did you make it happen?
Can you handle partying???
Based on my experience working there, EY Australia is pretty shit IMO. Yes, faster path to citizenship, yes some great lifestyle perks, but it's spendy as heck (increased salary does not compensate for it, especially since the big4 DONT PAY BONUSES in 'straya and have fun paying average first time home purchase price of $1.3M).
Do you enjoy a stronger culture of racism? If yes then Australia
🤔
Reviews? 4/5 stars.😑
EY1 and M1 - I applied through our internal career portal and then things just happened
Australia offers a much faster path to citizenship and will grant you access to work in the Commonwealth countries. Then lateral move back to the States is always easy.
Aussie has real work life balance
Can you share what kind of salary they are offering? Looking to move myself.
Australia is beautiful. Much better corporate culture and work life balance. Everyone spends a lot of time outdoors. Sydney and Melbourne are both great cities for food and night life.
@OP - did you inform ur cfl, people consultant or ur conselor about this before applying or now after u have the offer? Im just thinking if its necessary ?
Just go for it.
FSC1 - yes you have to talk to your counselor, engagement manager
@D2: I heard from friends back home that Deloitte AU has, at least in the last year, paid some form of bonus...
