Recently transitioned into data science consulting from 7 years of project management experience but my job is more data viz related. Not the most technical as I’m still learning. Would you apply to stretch jobs even if you don’t meet all the qualifications? Ie most the data science projects I’ve done are through online classes

If you got the role means you can do it! 🙌🏻

This is what I’ve been as my next career step. I have been in PM roles as yourself but enjoy doing the data visualization functions whenever they have been available so I’m thinking of switching to a more data cuz focused role

Out of pure curiosity, does anyone in here currently work in the wine industry? I’m interested to get a sense of experience levels here. (Not that it matters at all! We all learn at our own pace.)

I work in wine media now, but pre-pandemic was a Sommelier in restaurants in NYC.

Have any of my fellow corporate wine professionals made their way onto Fishbowl yet? 🍷

How much of a pay cut are you willing to take to (hopefully) re-find purpose in your job?

My Context: work in tech, company has HQ in the Bay but I live in Canada. Single, no kids, 1 mortgage, no debts.

TC: ~200k USD (60% base / 40% equity). I put very low effort, completely disengaged and unmotivated, with anxiety building up. Don’t like the company, but very few companies can match where I live

I’m being offered ~110k to work more, better title, fun project and company
