For your experience level, I would say $4-450 TC. Base around $300. Is this aligned with your expectations? Be aware that bonuses are paid out in december and will be prorated for the calendar year based on start date...so negotiate a signing bonus accordingly.
Data points I’ve seen for director total comp is in the 350-600 range.
Just a guess here but knowing how Alix looks at comp you can negotiate your base higher but it’ll just lower your bonus on the back end
Thx!
A&M also pays well so make sure our offer is higher than your current. There’s a huge band at Director level and our firm should be willing to go a bit higher. You should think of it in terms of TC. Base is negotiable but that also means they will deduct it from your bonus.
Thx! Very helpful

Depends on how valuable your skills are in the current market / how much they want you. Your TC should be higher than A&M, more predictable/stable with a heavier emphasis in base vs bonus.

You should look for total comp around 400-500k.
I’ve heard annual raises are lower (4-5%) once you are around $400k so take that into account as well (may not matter if offer is much higher than current).
