I think that group is doing some of the most interesting work at the firm. Innovation, experience design, digital strategy, bringing human-centric thinking to clients, that kind of thing. Cool team and culture, even within a massive firm. SMs build client relationships and coach several project teams at once

I joined Deloitte in 19’ and don’t buy into the circlejerk that seems to go on both for / against the company - I like being a part of the firm but am underwhelmed with where the recent compensation cycle resulted. I have an opportunity with a small business to get a roughly $45k salary increase, but would have 2 sacrifice the security of Deloitte, wfh and paternity leave, which will come into play this fall as we have a baby due in November. Anyone make a similar switch before or havethoughts?

Strategy folks - how do you get good at … strategy? Recently started at a startup in a role where I’m the only person under the head of our product team who handles the strategy-focus of the company. He wants me to take more ownership from him and I want to crush it but have no relevant experience here and am still fairly junior. Any books or classes? Or is it just trial by fire.

Some call it quitting on your team, U.S. Gymnastics are calling it mental health issues. I'm calling it something more specific related to sports psychology: the yips. It's bad athletic performance having the yips, but when continuing can turn you into the next Elena Mukhina, backing out is the right call. Alternate history: Simone continues on, manages not to break her neck, but absolutely s**ts the bed and is criticized for taking the US off the podium when knew she wasn't on her game.

I pointed to the two stacks of papers on my desk and told him I was reviewing motions and preparing the responses I sent him yesterday. That being said, I will NOT be one that comes up short of my number. Now, this leads me to you all, to present a question. If you have to prospect, if you’re looking for new business, is it worth $1500 to put 95% of your prospecting process on autopilot? If so, let’s chat.
