Your doing good, momma! You’re easing back into a routine and already made it two weeks. Go easy on yourself. Physical absence from your little one will send your hormones all over the place, so try baby-wearing when you get home; you’ll both appreciate some sustained skin-to-skin contact, however you get it. Find one thing that can be Your Thing together every night to make memories: bath time, dance to music time, wiggle and tickle time. Whether you’re working or not working, the “I can’t possibly get everything done” feeling lasts for years, so just aim for little snatches of time with you and baby however you can get them throughout the days and weeks. You’ll find your rhythm together.
I don’t think anyone feels they can do and give 100% to everything, especially after kids come into play.
Please be gentle with yourself and recognize you’re doing the best you can with what you’ve got. We all are. 💞
TIP: take the help offered - esp from close fam & friends. It was hard to accept (for me, having been VERY independent for a long time) - but definitely a game changer.
Does omnicom health group have a slow ramp up program like some other omnicom agencies? They allow you to work a minimum of 16 hours per week for the 2 weeks transitioning back to work or something like that. Ask about it!
Doesn't hurt to ask if it's still available since no one communicated that to you.
Hang in there!! The first few weeks back are so tough, especially with baby going to sleep so early. I know it’s hard to feel this way now, but you will adjust and that baby is so lucky to have you setting an example of what working parenthood looks like. It gets easier when they get a little older, I promise.
Omnicom also allows you to use your sick days a mental health days!
