Are you telling me money matters more to you than meaningful work and career opportunity? (Sarcasm) recruiters will work with you on appropriate salary/level/service area. You can talk to your recruiter about where you see your best fit, different possibilities, etc. if your call with your recruiter goes past 5 min you can trust that they'll try to place you in an area that works for you and the firm. They're really good.
The work varies- one was in Business Risk and the other was in Tech Risk. All of the service areas start at the same salary I'm pretty sure for Advisory, regardless of whether you are in federal or commercial. I would recommend you apply for Deloitte Consulting or try to come in as SC in Advisory in commercial.
Enough to party
Consulting salary > Advisory salary
But why advisory after MBA?
^ recruiter
^ummm darden doesn't do a part time MBA - only full, executive MBA and global MBA
Yeahh cut the bullshit kid. Also consulting>advisory and no, commercial base = fed base. Commercial bonus is higher. Don't act like you know, pwc ;)
Federal pays lower than commercial. Also 1 year exp and an MBA? What MBA program? If you're a C1 you'll prob come in ~75 plus or minus 10
MBAs come in as senior consultants FYI
What is your mba school rank? What consulting experience do you have? Did you graduate last May from undergrad?
With one year of experience? Actually I don't care - you do you - but with that program I wouldn't be trying to be in federal advisory at Deloitte
55k
Are you serious? That's so low. I'm DC area and in the middle of my MBA.
55k seems about eight
I thought Deloitte undergrads came in at low 70s? I already have client facing experience so I was hoping more.
The difference is really that much? I get paid more than that now. I let them know my target salary early on and they're still interested.
Post MBA may be more
Mid way through my MBA. Part time classes. I was hoping for 75 in DC area. Are there different levels inside the consultant level itself?
Dec 2014 undergrad. Started working in Jan 2015 for IBM. MBA is with UVA (Darden).
