I am a strategy consulting enthusiast from a middle class family. Don't have the financial stability to take a loan for an MBA and hence had to drop some renouned admits this year (Think top IIM's) due to family circumstances. I still dream big and request you to provide some insights for my research:-
1) Average expected package of an associate
2) Average experience expected at ZS to get hired at associate (not BCN)
3) Good books to upskill and ace the consulting case interviews

I have the option to be sponsored by my firm. However, is it a bad idea to take it and list it on my application if my post-mba goal would be to do something else after graduation? Would that be off-putting to schools since sponsorship implies that you’d be returning?

If you are on a billable project but happen to have a day we’re you aren’t asked to do much, do you still bill the 8 hours for being on call. Or do you only bill the 1–2 hours you work that day on client work? Less than 1 YOE. Curious on your thoughts on billing 8 hours a day even if you don’t necessarily work the whole time. Is this something you have done? I also under stand that billing less than what you work is not ideal, “eating hours.” But what about billing more than you “actually” work
