Starting a new job in consulting soon. What are some must-do and must-avoid things to keep in mind? How do I hit the ground running?

At the donor egg phase and just not dealing with it well. Having all kinds of regrets if I tried hard enough. Maybe should have ate better, tried all these different things. Did I do IVF too quickly? Some say IVF makes your eggs worse. Is this true???

Our 5 month old started daycare about 5 weeks ago. We’ve already had to keep her home for 2.5 of those 5 weeks due to catching various illnesses (croup, rsv, brinchiolitis, etc). Both my wife and I have been sick most of that time as well (gotten it from the baby). Wife is thinking we get a full time nanny for the next 4 months to help the baby build antibodies. Cost aside, is this feasible / worthwhile to go thru the effort / finding the right fit, only for 4 months?

I just started meds yesterday and the change in my focus and attention to detail is mind blowing. So, the CDC removed the Covid guidelines. I’ve never had Covid. I’m afraid people will come into work not wearing a mask and be inconsiderate… ughhh so distracting and disgusting. I’m also at risk to develop complications. Not sure if I should talk to HR. Not even sure if I should ask for accommodations to continue being able to wfh at least most days of the week to reduce risk. Idkkkk 😩This is so unprecedented. I always wear my mask at work. What do recruiters mean when they say that they are looking for a “producer”?

Does mba help in pivoting to consulting? I want to learn more about business + do strategy work and I’m not sure if I’m getting that in tech. Undergrad major was econ and was very theoretical (didn’t learn anything about business). Have done interviews with all MBBs in the past but either didn’t pass assessment stage or didn’t make it pass the case interviews. Feedback was that I need to improve business judgement for case interviews.
