I interviewed with Siemens Energy for SAP ABAP position on 21st Jan. The interview went on for about an hour and in the end, the interviewer asked my expected ctc and wanted assurance if I won't negotiate on Siemens offer with some other company as i am currently serving notice period and join Siemens if provided an offer.
Till now , the HR team has not reached out to me for salary discussions and my LWD is 7th Feb. Can i expect a call or i got rejected ?Siemens

You make that with JD and LLM? I really feel bad for you. Please leave the firm, I love ey, but that's unfair!
JD LLM here- I'm at 82 and I've been saving since I started here (76-Low COL area). I have saved enough for a year of living expenses, I have bought a house, and I've put enough away in 401k to have a small nest egg for retirement (a good starting point). I plan on leaving the firm to start my own practice. I know I'll probably only make 50 my first year, but all my friends who did this end up making 100 by 2/3. I hate big 4, specifically the politics, and I'm gonna just do my own thing. I hate how hard the group thinks our work is. It's simple and repetitive. I hate being told I need to do this or that, by the insiders who take every Friday off.
I'm out.
I'm am a JD/LLM and if you're coming out of law school you start as a staff 2 not a senior
I wouldn't expect more than 5-6%. Probably 5%. You are right at the level where the firm will begin to equalize the salary premium they have been paying you for that JD. By the time you're manager 2, you'll make the same as CPA's in the firm.
I agree with EY2. I have a JD/LLM work in the Southeast mid-market and started at $90k.
5 would be nice. I am concerned it will only be like 2 to 3
When I was a Staff 2 with just a JD I made 80K in the Midwest (Ohio.) I'm surprised at the senior level and with a LLM that you aren't being paid more. You might want to explore what you are worth on the open market.
@EY 2 Bay Area, you?
^TS1 I agree with you. I have a JD/LLM and was representing my own clients prior to EY. Now I only get technical one-off questions and memos and I don't get staffed on the large engagements which are what I need to be promoted. I'm also micro-managed and still haven't had client facetime after 2 years. I started as a Senior 3 and I'm going into my 3rd year as a Senior. There's also a lot of politics on my team. The Partner has an impenetrable inner circle that includes 2 people that have been promoted faster than anyone in the firm. The first was a peer of mine and she got all engagements so she could get promoted. Promoted to Manager in 4 years and started as a CSA. Another has been there 3 years and she also started as a CSA and is now a Senior and so she now gets all of the engagements. Another started as a CSA and was promoted to SM in 7 years. None of them have a CPA or tax background. I've been looking for a new group since February.
I heard if you have an LLM you can start as a senior. Is that true?
As senior 1, bachelors and earned approx 85k..im in ITRA
I started as a senior and I have an LLM. Although I had also practiced law for 4 years prior - 2 in tax but not related to my service line.
@KPMG 1- every LLM I have ever worked with came into the firm at Senior or above. Senior if they had little to no work experience, a few were Manager or above if they had the LLM and significant, applicable work experience.
@EY 4 what market are you in? We just had a JD/LLM right out of school start as a Senior 1. But all of our JD's start at Senior 2.
It is most common for JD's to start as staff 2's, but then they are held there for two years instead of one like everybody else. The firm generally treats JD's very poorly. I would ever work at EY with a JD.
@EY4 Midwest. Maybe it's just the practice group (PAS).
2-3%
JD/LLM here. Came in as a Senior 1 at ~100k.
I am originally from Minneapolis.... 3% is a humble but average raise " Not a slap in the face"
Boyz and Girls .... please know that any HR will try to low ball you .... it's their job. You should look out for your interest
