Turn it down because Laundry Service is horrible and works their people to the bone 24/7. They manually post instead of using a scheduling program.
I stopped watching football because of the horrible response to concussions, CTE, and domestic violence.
This year's ratings have been pretty steady to last year, even up in some cases. But OP is right, rating fluxuations are more about cord cutters, the additional (non rated) streaming options, game fatigue throughout the week, and poor matchups. Papa Johns isn't selling because their pizza is trash. They can blame whatever they want, but the truth is, people care more about what they're putting in their mouths and millennials are seeking out more exotic flavors, and PJ's trash pizza and basic garlic sauce doesn't cut it.

I worked on the Papa John’s pitch at one of the losing agencies. After hearing some things about him, I think I would have had the same inner struggle had we won. That guy is a grade A dick.
ACD 1, while that is very true, he also left behind a complicated legacy in which he massively profited off inner city taxes that crippled neighborhoods of downtown Detroit, in many ways leading to the ghost towns they are today. Also, that dude is no longer with us. He did some really good things, but he also did some bad things.

Last I heard (as of a couple of weeks ago anyway), the NFL was taking a serious ratings beating. Conclude as you will, but maybe some people are just not cool with disrespect to the flag/anthem.

Maybe, but I think the ratings drop correlating to the protests was/is pretty substantial. Because there are other options, it makes it easier for people to change the channel. I'd have to see the exact quote for context, but it's probably not a stretch to point out that the controversy surrounding the protests has hurt The Papa's pizza sales. The fact that their pizza sucks is not a new phenomenon, and is heinous in its own right.
