I got laid off but due to the WARN act, I am still on the payroll for a while. If a background check is done to look at employment history, do they see my official working end date, or the day I am off the payroll?

Today I was walking back to the hospital from my car some random guy came up to me and asked me for directions while I was still in the lot. I'm new so I told him I didn't know and he literally cussed me out in the parking lot and told me I was a horrible nurse and he was going to get me fired. Meanwhile I am a PHARMACIST. The severance package at Meta for laid off employees almost makes it nice to be laid off depending on what your personal situation is….. personally wouldn’t mind getting 4+ months of full pay to reset and think about what’s next 😬

How do you handle people’s kids showing up on video meetings? Screaming, kicking, hamming it up, (wasting time.) Everyone else is coo-ing…I’m not a kids person. PDM at Deloitte and recently told my current PM that I receive an offer to be on a different project and would like to rolloff my current project. They told me they have to check their WOA before they can confirm my last date. Is this a legit reason or something they made up just so I can’t leave?
