DFW area - when will the rain stopppppp?

PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? Is the compensation high at PWC? Is there a possible moving expenses? Any insight or advice would help me make a decision. Thank you!

I actually think Marina, Russian Hill and North Beach are the best but seems like you are not considering any of those
Open to suggestions! Thanks for pointing that out
Border of Hayes Valley / Civic Center has quite a few modern high rises. Close to a great neighborhood (Hayes) but also close to a not so good neighborhood (Civic). I found during my search that this area + SoMa (which I felt was more unsafe) have the most modern high rises. Marina is super cute but all older style buildings
Check out Chorus and Nema! 150 and 100 Van Ness are good options too. Also The Rise at Hayes Valley
Marina, Russian hill are top neighborhoods with really good restaurants, gyms, and vibe. Would not live in 2 and 6-11. Maybe 6 if you like surfing. I’ve been in sf for 8 years.
Hayes Valley is great actually but so small as far as available apts. you’ll end up maybe like at western addition or panhandle lol. Mission bay was good pre pandemic. Maybe it’s on a comeback.
Weird I do not see Noe Valley on the list. I lived at the intersection of Mission and Noe Valley (25th and Guerrero) - and I would say probably the best location in SF to live, especially if you prefer the sun
EDIT : Aah, my bad. Just saw you don’t wanna live in an old building
I live in Rincon Hill and love it! I would advise against civic center!
I regret moving to civic center 😆 wish I asked for advice
Also note that newer building are not rent controlled and they will likely rise your rent quite a bit every year
By the way, the tenants union is SUPER responsive and helpful so definitely reach out to verify your rights. They represent all tenants in SF and there’s no fee or anything like that in order to access their services.
Rising Star
I think your best option for safety x new high rise is Mission Bay. They're building a lot of new high rises over there and the area by the Giants Stadium has a ton of new bars & restaurants. The high rises aren't like FiDi-level skyscrapers but 10+ floors which is enough to give you a nice view of the bay.
Just make sure you check out the area before because while there are nice new parts of Mission Bay there are also older sketchy parts.
Don’t go to civic center….. sunset at 5.30pm in winter time, it would be almost like a curfew for you to hit home before that time. (Night time walk is sketchy)
1 and 3 are pretty much the same area though. I live on one of the apartments on Folsom there and love it
If Pacifica is on the list you might as well include the Sunset as you’ll actually have transit to downtown.
Thank you all for adding to the thread! Been super helpful! Keep ‘em coming 😊
I'm looking to sublease a unit in NEMA if you are still interested!
