Don’t neglect the fit portion. Doing well on the case interview is the minimum bar. Interviewers want to get to know you (most at least).
Re: 2nd round, same thing but with principals and/or partners. Don’t be intimidated by your interviewers. They’re people too and want you to do well. Make sure to pay attention to their subtle hints. They’ll often push you toward the right answer
Yup BCG1 nailed it. I would say R1 is more about “can you case?” first - and “are you a nice person who will fit with our firm culture?”, is a bit secondary. In R2 definitely 50-50. Partners / Principals do focus on fit and cases will be less standard format. Some offices do written case for R2 as well. Good luck!!
