Seeking advice - I have been an EA with my current employer for almost a year. When I first started, it was strictly EA assignments. Within the last couple months, I had been assigned a laundry list of added tasks, such as handling large national accounts and implementing operational procedures. I am salaried at the minimum in CA - $62,400/year. Is this average for Southern CA? Do I schedule a one year review to discuss a pay raise?

Do i really need to be in the office? I’m in more of specialty group and considered to be a regional resource, only have a couple local engagements and likely won’t get more than that because there is not a lot of work for what i do around here. Received an offer for an internal promotion and the verbal offer differed from the written offer. Specifically, the bonus verbalized was 2% higher than the offer letter. HR basically just said ‘sorry, our mistake the letter is right’. What would you do?

I’ve recently started work at a very young tech startup. Coming from a big law background, this was a huge change of pace/environment. I’m having a lot of trouble getting used to how unstructured the startup is. It feels like hire ups give a set of instructions then talk as if they don’t remember, or then decided rules A, B, C and D applies without being clear this was the case.
