Seeking advice - MBA Finance & Analytics - Fresher - got an offer from Northen Trust for analyst role - 3.6 ctc - i wanted to join companies such as Big 4 - GS - WF - MS. pay is less compared to what other brands would offer but the role is something good. will it help me land something at my desired companies after a year? will i get to learn something if i ignore the pay? would it help me in my career ?

After you moved in-house, how did you get more comfortable reviewing contracts or counseling on issues you weren’t super familiar with? I was very specialized at my law firm and took a similarly specialized role in-house….but I still get requests to mark-up types of agreements that I never touched at my firm. I’ve been trying to find CLEs to get up to speed, but I’m wondering if this is generally something that gets more comfortable with time…

I’ve been on the bench with J1 for about 3 months. I was worried that because I couldn’t find another project, I would get laid off so I found J2, which pays more, is very meeting heavy, but I really like. I’ve kept J1 because I’m still on the bench doing absolutely nothing and getting paid. Thinking about looking for a role on a project with J1 that’s not along my career path but will allow for me to do work with no calls so that I can manage both jobs. Does anyone have experience or advice?

a) I've been told virtual onboarding is no longer a thing.
How many days does in-person onboarding activities occur?
b) HR Informed,"After onboarding is complete, can get perm WFH based on project or extension of WFH as IBM is flexible"
