Oh the truth...

My base loc is Bengaluru, but currently I am not mandatorily required to work from office, and have been working from home since I joined Deloitte in July. Should I talk to my manager and go back to my hometown Kolkata and work from there? Staying in PG all day and working from here is not quite feasible for me. Suggest pls. Deloitte India

I'm 5 years experienced CTC - 19 LPA
Hope you get the validation
The people with high CTC doesn't represent the whole universe, there are other people who are getting good ctc and doing fine. That's why wfh needs to end and wfo/hybrid needs to start so that you get to interact with more people and not sit in a room and read the posts on FB.
I'm 6 year experienced working on DS and my CTC is 10.5
There's no need to demotivate
7.8 YOE 34 LPA this is my Third company , Last CTC was 18 LPA at 7.5 YOE . You are doing fine. Its just the market is hot you have to be lucky and be at right place at right time. I was in similar situation as you are. Take these fake/ real review as kind of motivation to push yourself. Hope you excel in your profession 👍
No I left , I had my annual bonus hike coming in May last (which is VERY GOOD). Due to this same feeling of missing out great opportunities I decided to let those perks. I joined JPMC now.
I believe it's all about your satisfaction. I have seen people getting 1cr pkg with 5-6 yrs of experience in development. So there is no limit in the current market but but our preferences matters
Same here ..
I am 4 yoe in DS and getting 17 you are doing just fine
Same feelings bro, but only when we compare salaries and see the actual salaries in market we will look for a change. And that's what keeps me motivated to grow more and not settle
No matter which domain your are working in. Comparison is natural. But try to not compare with others. Yes if its like half of what others are getting then you need to introspect. Otherwise just stay happy with what your getting but eager to learn and earn more. Income graphs could take a sudden spike anytime
Buddy I have uninstalled this app for about 6-7 months just because of this only, as I started to get the feeling that by not having any offers in hand I am failing the society 😂😂
dhondhu just chill ..
See, no matter how big your package is. There will be someone you has a bigger package than you, might be younger than you and might be better than you in some skills. So just chill. Try your best in next switch. don't worry about it too much now
My question to you - Are you happy and contented in life ? If yes, The salary of 20 lakhs is really good for your experience. But if you are not, even a 50 lakh salary won't make you happy.
The point i am trying to drive is this - there is no end to the packages you can get. There will always be someone earning higher / lesser than you. So try to think of it in terms of happiness - the work you do/ the work life balance etc ! Do what you want to do without comparing with what others are doing.
Just my 2 cents.
I guess you are doing fine. I have a similar ctc with 9 months of experience. But I spent 2 years extra doing a masters from the IITs
Can you tell me which masters? The one from IIT KGP?
