Was there anything in the SP review that has any factual basis? Be objective, please.

No answer = “maybe, but …”
C’mon, man.
If the senior partner was just totally wrong, it’s possible you can pivot to work more with other partners and survive—but also have a senior partner out to get you for no reason is not the safest place to be, especially if in a smaller practice group or office.
If the senior partner had a point, even if extreme, then you might have a chance if you can meaningfully improve.
Also consider whether you could be overstating the negativity of the review.

How does someone backtrack a good review? They both gave you live reviews at the same time and junior partner backtracked in the room? He withdrew a positive written review?
This story sounds a little wacky and in my experience is the kind of story underperformers in denial will tell. But I’m not saying that’s necessarily you. But it’s hard for us to say without more color on your firm’s review process and the work product you provided to the senior partner.
Nah. Look for a new job. You’re about to be PIPed. It’s that time of the year
It can be… “we noticed your performance sucks and we will check in ever thirty days.”
It could also be “we are going to put you on a pip for 90days” or “you need to think whether or not you belong here”
Sometimes they tell you straight up. Sometimes they don’t. You have to read in between the lines. Usually a partner not liking you is def a cause.

Did anything immediately precede the senior partner’s negative review? Did you complain about the senior partner, and/or did the senior partner make a mistake that they’re trying to throw you under the bus for?
The review(s) are likely designed to lay the groundwork for your termination. So yes, it’s a signal for you to leave. Reviews are often coordinated by partners.

Partners may informally or formally speak with each other before memorializing your review in writing.
There may also be a review vetting process where some reviews are included and some are taken out of the batch you ultimately see, for strategic reasons related to whether they want you to leave, want to hold you back a year, are taking you “off track,” etc.
Reviews are a major strategic tool used by the firm to control your employment.
