Serious question - for transformations with large technology components, what is the value prop of an MBB running the TMO versus a lower cost competitor?

Besides generally higher standards in delivery - how do you justify spending 2x over other competition?

What's a median salary (considering all US employees) for big 4, Accenture, MBB and FAANG? Is 200k for big 4/ACN, 300K for MBB, 400k for FAANG a good ball park estimate?

Got my MBB offer as an Exp Hire! A few insights from my case prep. I practiced ~10 cases solo using Case Coach videos. I'd watch the interviewer speak, pause the video, practice (speak out loud, ask questions, explain my approach, even time myself), then play to see what the candidate did, and evaluate myself for gaps.

I also learned the evaluation criteria and internalized the generic case frameworks.

I'm a recent grad who accepted an entry-level full-time job offer with Capital One. I knew that MBB and other consulting firms rarely ever negotiate salary with new grads, so I didn't with Capital One as well. Was that a mistake? What were the likelihoods that they would have raised my salary? I had no other competing offers at the time

What is typical signing bonus offered by MBB if you are recruited as an experienced hire into their Manager or Senior Manager level (coming from Big 4)? For core strategy practice, not niche areas.

Currently making $160k TC in NYC working 40 hours a week, but recently got an offer for $300k TC with 60-80 work weeks. They were up front about the hours expectation.
