Looking for some advice on how to branch off into a job in tech. I’m a Mechanical engineer interested in working in a big tech company. I have some programming experience but excel mostly in mechanical and product design as well as 3D CAD. My last therapist keeps coming up in my mind. I left her when I moved to a new area before COVID dug in and frankly it felt like leaving a girlfriend. She also disclosed in the final session that she was a member of AA and knew several of the people I occasionally discussed from the rooms. Her knowledge of the program certainly built trust with me early on, but it has been two years. I discussed it with my current therapist but she’s still in there. Any advice?

Dad passed away 2 months ago. 🐠- My parents have been trying to get B-1 visa appointment for few months to visit me to extend support during/after child birth. They originally were able to schedul for Oct but it was recently canceled by the counslate. The current earliest date is in March. Any suggestions on options to expedite appointment scheduling?
