Without disclosing company name, how folks can suggest you which one is good option? Looking at your post 1.5L difference is quite high and if you want more money go for it
Was in a similar situation and in my case the difference was 2L in fixed. After interviews with the managers, I decided to go for the product based one even though the pay was less because my thought process was that even if I stay in this company for only 1 year due to less pay, the learning will be huge which would enable be to crack bigger product based companies in the future, whereas if I join a service based one the kind of work will be totally project dependent and there might be a case I would end up jumping from one service based to another until I am able to crack a decent product based which might take some time and YOE.
In my final round interview of all companies, I was having a managerial round. Isn't this prevalent across all companies?
I am in the same situation and in my case the difference is of 2.5 lakh in fixed while year of experience is same. I was totally towards the low pay company as it was product based while higher pay was service based but later on I have decided to go for highest pay as we are doing or first switch and after 1.5 or 2 year later the next switch will come so product based company with low pay will not be good choice for this time frame as next switch would be based on current fixed..
Even product based also not letting me know of product work but I am assuming in case of product based the chances of getting of quality work is 80:20 while in service it's 50:50 but I have chosen service which is not big like Accenture and TCS but a small scale service based and had discussion with my immediate manager also so I am little bit sure on that side rest it's our luck buddy..
Fintech may mean a startup in most cases. Think about the WLB and job security both of which are concerns with startups. Better weigh all in if you are not ready to name the companies.
