Probably a new joiner?

Strategy& folks, how do you truly feel regarding overall happiness with your job? I feel like often times we only see negative opinions on here (people come to vent about being overworked etc) so I’m curious if there are a bunch of happy S& employees out there just keeping more quiet

No it’s not a dating profile. I would rather see volunteer experiences.
Nothing wrong with as long as it is something that shows traits of leadership or taking initiative
Hobbies: participating at Hackathons, coaching junior soccer / tennis / basketball / tball..
Volunteering, tutoring
You mean the "things I'm planning to give up for this job" section?
Hobbies: Staying up late perfecting slides.
20 slide deck, with 200 slides in the appendix full of all the case studies and qualifications… I’m glad I no longer have to make those anymore.
Very confused by these answers - just make it one line at the very end of your resume called “Interests”. I’ve had multiple interviews where the interviewer goes straight to the interests line and we connect on some shared interest right off the bat. As long as you don’t write something really weird, there’s zero downside.
Exactly. I can only see benefits and zero harm in including a one liner with your interests, as long as it's nothing too absurd or frowned upon. I think interests like sports are always great to present yourself as a well rounded candidate and can show character traits like leadership, resilience, etc
Probably not.
No. These are talking points if someone asks during an interview. Use the space on your CV for more important stuff.
Depends on what your hobbies are - If you watch tiktok videos as your hobby possibly a bad idea to mention
The answer is no and even if you would like to put, craft it as “interests” than hobbies. Not that many ppl look at it but if any one does, they can ask question on your interest as well.
Unless those hobbies result in business development related to your experience, no.
I wrote hobbies: travelling 🤷♂️
Rising Star
Same.
Rising Star
No. Talk about that when they ask you about yourself in the interview after you’ve already hit the high points in your résumé.

Hobbies: Excel, Power BI, Grinding, Cocaine
Nope, no one reading your resume cares about your hobbies.

If you have a couple of unique hobbies (ie not just traveling, hiking, cooking) then I think included one line can be advantageous. Consulting is a people business and having something in common is a proven way to be more likable.
