Hi #Urgent
Got the Offer Letter from Citi upon accepting I also received the Background Verification (BGV) mail.
which says I need to provide the relieving letter/experience letter. But the thing is I have not received it (it will take some time). I only have resignation acceptance letter.
Can we still proceed for bgv process and tell Citi that I will provide the relieving letter later on when i get it.
(already passed my LWD: 2nd nov)

Your question reads a little funny. But if your worried about the “at will” language, that is standard in the US. All jobs are “at will” meaning anyone, either you or the company, can back out at any time. My contract with BDO says the same thing, I start next July as an intern. And my contract with UK says the same thing and I’ve been here for years.
Congrats on the offer though.
thanks for the insights.
I was mostly working as contractors on my previous employments related budgeting and billing, where even the agency may not like ones performance, as long as one meets the goal, one could stay until the end of contract.
Firms rescinded offers in the Great Recession, but I think they learned that didn’t exactly endear them to those candidates, and to future candidates.
Nowadays, I think they are more likely to delay start dates or force them onto reduced schedules. I think when Covid started, they reduced some new hires to 80%. It was bad enough for seniors and managers to not have as much time from staff as they needed, but I’m sure it was financially painful for those who didn’t live at home.
