Signed an offer to work at a bb in wealth. Program has changed dramatically since I've interned. Signed an offer in NYC and now they have me working out a FC an hour away shadowing FSAs.

Completely not what I signed up for and feel really mislead by the firm. Ultimately want to move into trading at another bb or hf with a focus on equities. Would it be smarter to prepare for the CAIA, go back to school, or take practically any trading job I can?

Feel like I'm wasting my life in this role.

Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.

What does it mean if there’s a NEP at the firm who’s been there for a long time (20+ years), but never got promoted to EP? Never held leadership roles too. Does it usually mean EPs does not like the NEP enough to get promoted?

The NEP has a book of business, though no idea how much it brings in.
