If I start searching for new job, will that HR ask about recent offer letter? Or only salary slips are enough?

Was wondering what sort of life sciences projects does usually the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company take on?
Commercial, access and pricing, M&A, transformation, implementation? (all of them perhaps?)
Basically, what would someone with an LS background be mainly working on in these firms on a day-to-day basis?
Thanks!

Its nice to be referred to as an actual person and not a resource. Go to either one...you will be happier either way
Comp is lower
Both have a large presence in Chicago. West Monroe is considerably smaller than Slalom which just hit $1B in annual revenue.
My impression is West Monroe has more strength in specific industry focuses like banking, while Slalom is stronger in tech.
Culture is significantly better that the big 4. The employee owned model drives a more collaborative as opposed to competitive environment. Moreover, it's a more sustainable environment for career consultants.
Senior at EY in Minneapolis. Slightly cheaper market than Chicago I believe. $110k salary, benefits are lame compared to previous experience. I’m in a niche area so my projects are always different.
Comp will depend on you. Culture, come interview and find out! Benefits, we don't have quite what the big guys have but it's comparable in my experience (ex-ACN). We are employee owned which is much more preferable to me. Mobility, will largely depend on you as well, but if you're a performer you'll be a bigger fish in a smaller pond. Projects - what industries / horizontals do you work in? We have a fairly diverse practice, don't do every niche thing but we do the things you'll find large practices for at ACN or Deloitte.
They are garbage.
WM1 - why'd you make the move?
Wanted a smaller non-public firm, where I was not just a number etc.
@SC3 - opportunity in terms of what? Like type of work, upward mobility?
The 401k match is not great and doesn’t kick in until one year of employment, but it does vest immediately.
The opportunity with Slalom is to build whatever you want, no one will stop you. Conversely you can end up in a mid-level role here forever if you want to since there is no forced progression.
Go with west Monroe if you eventually want to be bought by a bigger firm
@SC3 - I hear benefits are noticeably worse, does this affect you?
Sort of.....401k match sucks (1.25%).
Medical is so / so.
Overall.....opportunity and work life make up for mediocre benefits
