It's interesting, I feel like I've seen some people tip much worse, some people tip much better, but rarely are people doing the traditional 15%. I either get nothing, 5%, or 25%. I think the tipping culture has pushed a lot of people in one direction or the other.

I didn't think 15% was traditional or even acceptable any more. I try to do at least 20%, and maybe a little more to balance out the cheapskates.
I have seen a bit of a drop in our restaurant; it feels like people are avoiding spending as much as well.

Yeah, that makes sense. If you can go to a higher end restaurant, you should be doing good enough to leave a good tip. I wonder what the family restaurants are seeing.
