So I’m in the process of applying at ICF I’m not sure if it’s the place for me but I’m trying to see if it’s worth the jump and get some advice on the company. Don’t want to rush since I already left my current job and went back so if I have to move forward I want to make sure this the right place for me to try

It’s a very good place. I have been working for over 9 months and am liking it. Let me know if there’s something specific you want to know.

Do you have a any pros or cons to share working at the company?

I've been at ICF for five years on the corporate side which I'm guessing you'd be a part of too. Every company has its challenges. What keeps me at ICF is the meaningful work the company does. It makes the highs and lows (that come in any job) easier - I know my corporate job is behind people who are literally working to improve the environment, clean energy, public health, etc.

ICF is also growing rapidly - which means I see a lot of people who want to grow, moving into new roles, assignments, etc. so support the growth, so lots of opps if that's your thing.

It sounds like you're in a position to take your time and get to know the team and leadership - it can't hurt to ask for an extra meeting here or there to make sure you feel good about making the change.

ICF is a great company. I worked there for only a year because of personal reasons. But my stay was fun and I learned a lot.

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.

Do you have advice on how to interview better with Amazon?

My résumé and portfolio are great, and I’ve been asked to interview with Amazon for 4 different teams now. However, it seems like I’m not making it past the first 1:1 interview. 3 out of 4 have resulted in not the right fit for reasons unknown; they don’t provide any feedback either. I have been invited for a new interview today with another team, and I am hoping 4th time is the charm. Any tips on how to do better next time?

This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? How many tries did it take?

Newish to data analytics. Have some experience in power BI, sql, and R. I wanted to get some exposure to aws and saw the AWS cloud practitioner as an available course at my job. Is this cert worth it? Or should I try one of the more advanced ones ? The data analytics one for example but wasn’t sure if it would be difficult to get through as a beginner. Will it look good on my resume?
