So I’ve been applying like crazy trying to find a new place to work & it’s been crickets… I’ve gotten some feedback on my resume about my tenure and I’m sure that’s not helping me but I’ve literally worked at toxic law firms since I moved to Houston 5 years ago

Hang in there. I'm 4 months into looking for a new job because of burnout myself, and it's been really tough sledding. The market is brutal right now, but there's got to be something better out there for us.

I’ve seen a few decent jobs in the Houston market. Baker Botts & Gibson Dunn were both hiring Lit Paralegals. If you send me your contact info I can refer you to the recruiter messages I get on LinkedIn.

Mayer Brown is hiring as well

I am in NY and I am trying to look for a place too. It’s not easy out here…

Definitely won’t! I am waiting on a couple call backs. If they don’t pan out I’ll take a break to focus on getting my notary because I’ve seen some postings where that’s required so I’ll put my focus there and then restart my job search after that. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

I understand completely. What type of law are you looking to work with?

Hello, I have a final panel interview coming up for a Strategic Product Consultant role at Procore (Construction SaaS). It’ll be 3 separate interviews, 30 minute each with a Team Lead, a Senior Consultant, and a Customer Success Manager.

I’ve already completed 2 interviews; 1 screening interview with a recruiter and 1 with a hiring manager.

I’m currently a PM for a General Contractor looking to pivot into tech.

Looking for advice to prepare for these final rounds of interview. Thanks!

A quick query here.

I'm going to move from non IT profile to IT profile. Basically I'll be applying as front end engineer in new company. Previously I was working in a BPO profile.
Just wanted to ask if I'll be provided training in my initial months as a front end engineer or am I expected to work from the very first day.
Your comments will be really helpful.

Thank you.

So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.
