Little bit of both. I have a job and I’m looking just in case things go south and while I’m
Not completely stressed I’m not as optimistic as I once was.
You have to do a bit more leg work now. Find people, reach out to the hiring manager,
It’s a lot of upfront selling of self ONCE and IF you find the right people.
I've been looking for a month now, although I'm still currently employed so I haven't been as diligent about it as someone who's been out of work for months. From what I'm seeing, it definitely feels like this is a tough job market. I've only seen a handful of roles that I'd be a good fit for that pay enough to justify leaving for, and so far I haven't heard back from any of them.
I think i have the company for you, if you willing to hear me out. Sounds like you arent too sure if you should leave or if you should stay. i think you would be a fit to work along side me would love to schedule an interview with you.
It's good not to let too many posts on social media psyche you out and discourage you. It's not a great job market, so it's not like people are making things up, but everyone's situation is different. It does seem that a lot of companies are just wary of doing much hiring. People had been counting on things picking up in the new year, but with all the chaos being churned up in the economy, that doesn't look likely.
It’s brutal in all fields! I’ve been looking since October 2023. I applied to many positions some that I could have been just trained on their CRM. Some I was under qualified for. Rejection after rejection. Then I started to do gig/temp work but it slowed down and no interviews. I think it depends on the City and climate and job sectors. People should be ramping up to hire now after first quarter. And don’t even ask people they will say what field are you in ? Or look at you like they understand that there aren’t any jobs!!! Or say really ignorant things like we’ll get a job at a Food market or here or there. These places do not want to go through the process of interviewing people for a job you are overqualified for or have no experience in, knowing you will leave when you find a better opportunity or one in your field.
