I was briefly informed how payment would occur - modeled like a less experienced colleague/associate attorney under Solo Atty. // base salary with a portion of what Solo Atty rains // freedom to do other legal work on side solo // cut if I bring in the same type of work into firm. How can I professionally bring up a salary bracket they have in mind? Not sure if Solo Atty and I are thinking of a similar range of pay.

It’s a modest Midwest city with ~100k residents but is a relatively touristy spot.
