Some of these mid-senior finance job postings feel like satire: “Must have 7+ years experience, CPA, CFA, MBA preferred, expert in Excel, SQL, Python, ability to walk on water… salary $85k.” Like…what? I’ve seen entry-level roles with better comp and fewer demands. Is this just the market being trash, or are companies seriously delusional? How are you all navigating this insanity—and are you actually applying to these roles, or just laughing and scrolling?

I am interviewing with Accenture UK for AWS Architect role. Total exp is 12 years. What base pay should I be looking at? I am moving from another country. So, no idea about UK pay-scales.

I racked up about $20k in credit card debt due to a confluence of things happening at once (move, school expenses , etc ). I have a fair amount of paper assets but not a much free cash. Assets are down a decent amount with the current market cycle and I’d prefer not to sell them to cover the debt , although they easily could. Any suggestions how to handle the credit card debt without racking up tons of ongoing card interest?

Getting paid 85k base with 40k in bonus plus about 35k~ in OT.

Money isn’t everything but in my late 20s it feels like the only thing important right now.

WLB is next to zero as 60hr weeks are the minimum as of late. Management feels like they are trying to push a few of us out. Was told not to expect much come year end for comp. Any suggestions on finding a new role/pay expectations?
