No one likes to be around people who think they are the best things since sliced bread and don’t miss an opportunity to tell everyone who much smarter they are than everyone else — even if they are.
All the controversies where they show that have no moral compass just fields the hate.
Nobody has moral compass in consulting/IB. Atleast McK is best in delivering results to clients and they deserve to know that.
There is some negative sentiment in PIF for Mck’s role in Neom and other giga projects which are now paused/being reassessed. This is what I’ve gathered from occasional stakeholder comments - obviously debatable to what extent that’s true.
The fact they keep getting hired despite being hated says a lot, no?
Its the optics, not the people, and certainly not the value
Besides their pie-in-the-sky approach, most stop liking MCK after working with them.
