Sr Manager pricing ops / chief of staff vs. keep recruiting — what would you do?
Ex-MBB (pricing + GTM focus), top MBA, took a sabbatical in 2025. Now recruiting for senior pricing/BizOps roles in tech.
Have a likely offer coming for a Sr Manager role that’s ops-heavy year 1 (billing migration), with strategic scope “opening up” after. Strong hiring manager. Pay is solid but not top of market.
Also in mid/late stages at several other companies for roles with more strategic ownership from day 1.

I’ve never negotiated a salary before… any tips? The offer is for a boutique consulting firm with 2 YOE. The project work aligns exactly to my current role.

Base: 125k + COLA
Bonus target: 10%
Sign on bonus: 10k

Current base: 115k
Current bonus target: 15%

I have 7 YOE and applied for a position that is L4. I feel as if I’m overqualified for the position, but the Recruiter told me that when they say L4, they are actually looking for someone with 6+ years of experience. Is this true? I feel like I should be looking at L5 with my experience

I applied for a position through a recruiter and made it through the interview rounds with the actual company and received a verbal offer, but haven’t heard back since. Am I able to reach out directly to HR for updates or does all communication have to be filtered through the recruiter?

I've been a government attorney for nearly three years now and have worked in the same office/division since I passed the bar. I've yet to receive a promotion other than two cost of living increases (in sum, a pay increase of 6k over 3 years). I know this is meager, but I'm mostly ok with it, I just want to see some recognition. On the other hand, it's hard for me to imagine negotiating because (given my inexperience), I don't feel I'd be able to do better anywhere else. Any advice?

Finally hit my breaking point. Been nothing but irritable & pissed off these past few weeks. Coach asked me on Friday when I’ll be taking time off & I just broke down. I’m a top performer & a workhorse. I’ve put so much effort into making sure my team is okay I forgot about myself. Now I am buried in work, performance is dropping & I can’t stop crying randomly. I kept telling people I am drowning but no one was listening. Coach is leaning to tell everyone to backoff thankfully.

The leason learnt by some of high salary negotiatiors in one point of time is never always chasing high salary and stuck in toxic company and suffer.
Please also give priority to company brand and wlb
