Two of my friends moved to the US about two years ago and had a hard time finding jobs at first. I’ve been working in IT freelancing for about 10 years, so I helped them get started with some freelance projects on Upwork and Fiverr.
We sometimes collaborated on projects and split the earnings depending on the work done.

I’m honestly tired of being at an agency and not feeling as fulfilled as I used with strategy as a career. Have anyone here make a career change? if so, what other jobs out there - outside of agencies and client side - can you apply what you know as a strategist? Curious if anyone has done it and has some advice.

My previous manager would track us by hours daily, made a fuss everytime anything stretched and guilt us for that and the unplanned leave too unless it was COVID. Hinted him a lot of time, this is problematic but apparently he considered it "standard practice for agile".

Now 8/10 teammates have switched within < 1 year of project start (6-7 months with him) which tbh had good work in our opinion and even team was fun to work with even though none of us ever met in person.

With my partner we are considering making a move to the countryside of Switzerland, with a gorgeous RE project offering incredible views on immaculate mountains and lake. However, it is far away, and will require 1h+ train/car commute vs. 10 min biking right now. Does anyone use a brokerage account instead of a checking account? Mine offers a fee free debit/atm card and free checks which I'd rarely use but starting to question whether it is worth maintaining my "big bank" checking account that requires a $1500 minimum balance.

I also have a local credit union checking/savings that I'd use if I need any services or to deposit cash and a HYSA that gets my paycheck, is used for mortgage and credit card payments, and to transfer to checking or investments.
