My story? My company decided to suddenly wind up business and released us in a 2 weeks span. I would appreciate any help possible. As I am new on this platform, I would also like to know how the platform works and appreciate further guidance. Thanks in advance. Tata Consultancy Infosys Accenture IBM Amazon

Oof. That’s a real tough amount man. It’s good money but for 4 and you’re sole income, it’s not enough for boston
She will have to quit the work and until she finds it could take up to 6months
It is probably a better opportunity than Infosys though...
You’ll be living in the ‘burbs and commuting an hour to work. Boston is a great city and has everything you need though.. so might still be a good move
I know plenty of people who can make it work under $200k in north Boston. You just won’t be IN Boston. And your house won’t look like the house you had in Texas. If you set your (and spouse) expectations accordingly, you can make it work until spouse gets a job. MA really is a great place to have a family and raise kids. If it didn’t work out, you can apply at one of the 1000s of other companies here
What equity did they offer? And what is the title/level? So many variables here
They are deciding on it. I will share once I get.
I asked for a %share in the company instead of shares as they gets diluted
Off topic but what’s your current base in Frisco? Considering moving there with a family of 4.
That sounds pretty comfortable in Frisco especially with no state income tax. Also sounds like it’s quite risky to move your family out to Boston for lower comp with questionable equity.
What's your current title at Infosys? $175K at Infosys makes you a Partner/Principal maybe?
