Did you interview at the other job? Always go on the interview - make the decision later. You might fins that the new employer has work life balance that you did not know about.
I think the best way to evaluate this is to think through your goals & objectives both professionally and personally. I've always taken the more challenging route but that definitely has a specific time limit as other life goals are becoming a priority.
What’s your ultimate “why” (purpose) behind working? Mine is bc I want a job that lets me put my family/kids first during this time of their lives...so I am willing to let other things go.
Depends where you’re at in your career, your family financial situation and the age of your kid. If your family depends on you for a good chunk of the family income, you need to make the decision that will more likely ensure your family will be secure in the long-term. If you have a significant other and that person has a stable career and good income, and your kid is younger, you could stick in the current job and spend more time with your kid. Etc. Depends on the details of your situation.
All of the above are great questions. Another question is if you plan to have any more kids in the near future. Flexibility is amazing when you have a baby. If you’re done, though, everyone else had good suggestions for what to consider.
You have to ask yourself.... what’s most important to you right now? You can explore and see what the options are at a new gig......
Depends on what you value more! I’d lean towards staying, but then again, I haven’t had my baby yet so maybe that mindset will change!
Agree with Leo Burnett 1. Also once you’re in the new place and gain some cred you could probably pivot to wfh.
We must be at the same agency. I’m staying put for now while she’s still a baby.
