I think it depends what you want to do long term. Consulting jobs typically burn you out, but accelerate your career if you leverage it. They make you work insane hours, and most people don’t last more than 1-2 years… but you can often get jobs much easier afterwards. Ie. It’s a big resume booster (which is why it’s so competitive). However, if you want better work-life balance and aren’t overly concerned about trying to accelerate your career (keeping in mind that who knows what will happen down the road), the corporate job is likely an easier path with its own opportunities for advancement - especially its a big company. Hope that helps!
If you’re young and have the energy, I’d advise trying the consulting role. You can always step down into an ops job later, but it’s often harder to go the other way and get back into consulting - especially at the Big4.
