Taking time for self-care; what does that look like for you? Is it frequent, short breaks or occassional, long breaks?

I like frequent short breaks where I can just go for a quick walk around stretch grab a coffee or a soda and get back to work. It breaks the day up much quicker. Plus i get more steps in, LOL

I agree with you on short but frequent breaks. It gives me enough time to breathe deeply and clear my head. Working non-stop for hours gives me migraines nowadays, especially as I get older, so I take all the short breaks I can get!

Some tasks may require more frequent short breaks, while others may benefit from occasional longer breaks. Ultimately, it's important to listen to your body and mind, and adjust your break schedule as needed.

Taking small breaks away from the workplace allows me to think about and focus on a task that I am having difficulty with. In addition, I've found that coffee breaks with coworkers are fantastic for gathering alternative viewpoints on an issue or even developing to solve.

Right next to my office building is a lovely paved bike path that winds through the woods. I set my phone to do not disturb mode twice a day, put on my headphones, and go for a 20-minute stroll. There is no one disturbing you, and there are no cars or structures in the way. When I return, I'll have a clear mindset and be eager to go back to work.

I started getting up from my desk every hour and going for a brief stroll around the building, which takes around 500 steps and 5-8 minutes. I'm not sure what the science is behind it, but going for a little stroll helps me clear my head and gets me some exercise.

Occasional long breaks. But I guess it really depends on the work. If it's too complex or time-consuming, then occasional short breaks. Lol

Actually, both. There are some times that I need longer breaks. There are also some times when I feel more energized and focused on work.

Is going to the bathroom considered a short break? If so, then I think I am taking too many short breaks. Haha.

Frequent short breaks. We need to clear our minds and recharge. How about you?

It's simple—by saving and investing.

And you don't need to be uber wealthy to regain control of your time.
