Is it just me or does it seem like everyone in FDD is in for the long long haul? I remember in audit everyone would talk about quitting or how they're only going to do audit for a few years to get experience and then leave. I'm not really seeing the same in TS. Just my observation.

Looking for advice (& empathy): Started out in advertising, then became a journalist. Moved to the US for grad school, and back to advertising few years ago. Now stuck at a company where I’m deeply unhappy but they sponsor the visa (not H1B, so it’s not a huge ask). Just accepted an offer with a psych startup. Not exactly the offer I was hoping for as I’m taking a slight pay cut ($73/hr) and it’s a 1099 position. I keep getting stuck on the 1099 piece because I’ll be working 40 hrs/wk, but have been told I’m not eligible to be a W2 employee. Needless to say, no benefits whatsoever.
