Had a first round interview scheduled for a large CPG brand. My interviewer never called me, and I emailed following up to confirm the call. It’s been over a day and no response. What is going on with recruiters? I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, but not even an email back saying “something came up” or “we’ve moved on” ? I’ve been ghosted after every final interview during my recent job search, but never had I been ghosted before even having the first call??

Under contract for nearly 1.1M. Wife and I are at HHI $315k. Will go up in the future, $400k in 3 years and $500k possible in 5-7 years. When beginning a piece of literature, I first help the kids access the relevant culture. I have used web quests, but I have found that the kids researching their choice of topics and creating Slides containing information and pics results in more students participating. With each passing year I am finding an ever shrinking population of students, including honors students, who actually read beyond what is posted in social media or video games. Students willingly volunteer that they do not read and most parents see it as a non-issue. I tell my students that the best readers are usually the best writers. What are some strategies that you use beyond reading logs ?

I have high school children of my own, but disciplining high schoolers has always intimidated me for some reason. I have excellent classroom management, but I feel like high schoolers are a little smarter ab getting around rules and less worried about consequences.

I’m told by an hs tchr that the grading load is ab the same.

I got an email last night from a 7th-grade parent because her son said I mentioned the words "male privilege" in class, and she is very concerned about how that is related to ELA (she said "reading"), and she is concerned about this being taught in public schools. To be clear, I didn't do a lesson on this subject but we did discuss rights versus privileges. I've had multiple parents contact the school/get upset with me because of things like his.
