I’ve been trying to get into the top tier Associate Product Marketing Manager position Google for some time now for just an interview and I feel like business majors somehow have such a stronger chance in getting interviewed especially my business school and I feel really discouraged as an Econ Major and I have a lot of marketing experience that I’ve built over the years. Are there any non-business majors in the tech realm in non technical positions at Google that can advise me?
Hi , my base location is kolkata in ibm . And i just shifted to kolkata with my family. However i am tagged to a project Barclays client which is in pune and bangalore. Is there any chance of my base location getting changed any day in future in IBM.

Wow they usually take down posts that name names. But also, strong agree on all of this splendid hot take.
I hope people pay attention because this isn’t just a Martin problem. This is happening at legacy agencies everywhere. Don’t idolize anyone or any company because they will disappoint you. Freelance. Go in-house. Choose jobs based on vibes. Stay at the small unknown local shop that treats you well. Choose yourself and your peace because these companies will never choose you.
Yes. A lot of leaders are unfortunately disappointing. Think twice before meeting your heroes.
we'll go with initials... IYKYK... we all know why DR was promoted through his vanilla career. DR, BA, JH, HR and Legal turned a blind eye to JA yet all promoted to million dollar jobs. We didn't know what MC did when he left the first time much less why he returned. Mean Girl's TD and KA swing rusty swords that changed the dynamic to stifling anxiety, nauseating corporate jargon, power-point charts, and meetings about meetings - but the new suites, and roof top look great.

This is so familiar. Maybe a symptom of IPG cause huge went through all of these issues

I was thinking the same thing
Will only say that without Chapman and Britta, we very well would have lost Geico and in turn had to let go much much more and probably whoever wrote this note.
So it's all cocktails and no talent... got it 🍸
Amen. This place fell off ever since Kristen left. It’s was lightning in a bottle just before and during COVID but then…ugh. Work suffered, mojo was lost, and salaries have remained terrible despite Richmond no longer being a low COL city. Feels like a place literally resting on its wilted laurels.
I was there from the Mike Hughes to John Norman transition era (and what followed). A lot of these criticisms were valid then too. It’s kind of astonishing how some people go unscathed. I applaud the Martinite for caring enough to make this post, and the more specific (now deleted) comment. I hope the message gets through. Employee opinion surveys if handled correctly can be a very valuable tool to understand what’s happening before it’s too late.
Omg, I missed it. Who has screenshots?!

Do they still have GEICO?
Until they get a new CMO
Even the up and coming shops prize assholes and ineffective leaders over slow but steady growth. No one cares about you in this business. Cultivate a life outside of it.

How much did Danny Robinson improve the diversity and inclusion at Martin?
No way. What metric are you using?!

Someone from C suite should do it about the employees too 🍿
Better believe they literally make charts weekly and discuss each employees' weaknesses - and rate them. You're on the list, too.
