Hi fishes,
Why TCS is so rude and self proclaimed kinda. I declined TCS offer last year as they were giving very less CTC. Now I got interviewed again with TCS and cleared all the rounds but they are not reactivating my ibegin portal for document upload since I rejected them last year...in this way u think they will never ever reactivate my profile.

Hey everyone, I got a call from Deloitte recruiting on Wednesday of last week discussing salary requirements and location. They told me that the team really liked me and that they were going to work on an offer. I got a call on Friday saying one group has approved the offer but they are waiting on others. I haven’t heard much since then. Should I be worried? How much longer will I have to wait?

I've heard that some people have had screening interviews with AI agents and actually liked the experience. It makes me think the quality of AI tools probably vary quite a bit, and perhaps some are quite good. I can also imagine a scenario where a good candidate just gets filtered out for specious reasons. I think AI will have its uses, but assessing human beings seems like a bad fit.
This will become more common in future so I'd recommend getting comfortable with the idea. We've been looking at this technology and it's very impressive.
The reality is that recruiting teams are struggling under the weight of more 'fake generated' CVs and people finding ways to send applications en mass. It is just not physically possible for 'live' recruiting teams to read every CV in detail, weed out fake ones or spend the amount of time needed to do initial screens of candidates - some who turn out to have none of the necessary experience. The level of sophistication we are seeing to cheat interviews is insane. It's all of this that is preventing good candidates from getting through the noise.
AI uses logic to match the skills and experience listed in your CV to job requirements and then invites applicants to do an initial AI interview. Some of these candidates might otherwise never have got time with a recruiter. A recruiter only has 8ish hours in a day to do their job, including screens. You can do an AI interview at any time of the day or night. Far more candidates get through to the first screening round thanks to AI AND it will recommend you automatically for any other job that suits your skills well into the future - far better chance than a recruiter remembering you from a past application.

I’ve had an AI interview before and liked it. This one allowed you to talk through questions without having to type, and if you wanted to repeat an answer you had 3 tries.
I can practice interviews with ai and get instant feedback so that I can do better with actually interviewing

I don't. I'm resisting until it becomes the norm. I've seen temp agencies use AI to screen applicants, what are their recruiters even doing then? I feel very uncomfortable for them to retain a recording of my image and appearance.
Indeed, it projects indifference. How is anybody supposed to connect with a non entity.
I'd prefer a real, human-led interview, as I'd expect everyone else would. Would I bail on a company because they used AI for the first interview? Probably not. The job market is hard and this practice is only going to become more commonplace. If you draw a line in the sand because of it, you're going to have an even harder time finding a job.
At least there theoretically should be less unconscious bias
