I do. I moved to industry, and have been working with the same small team, same type of deliverable over and over again. In a lot of ways, you’ll feel like you are not using all your skills that you acquired during consulting. It hasn’t been fun for me. Looking to go back in to consulting. But if I were you, assess your personal life current needs, and if you need to cool off a bit, talk to your firm and discuss exiting as an opportunity to unwind, but maintain good relationships so you can go back if need be.
I left and came back because I got bored. Strategy work has the potential for higher pay but the trade off is career enjoyment.

If you’re later in your career, I’d take it and pick up a hobby. Enjoy life.
I agree with EY2. I am trying to save a lot while I can, then when I am burned out jump to industry and then do hobbies. Depending on how well I save hopefully I can “retire” a little early and just do hobbies as a living for a small income later in life once I get better at said hobbies with all my free time in industry
What type of work do you both do? More technical-heavy scripting/coding or more high-level strategy and implementation?
I used to be a pen tester, but I'm doing strategy work now.
