Been a CSA for over 10 years, (fully licensed & life & health) was never sure that I wanted the FA responsibility, also found limited opportunities on my team. Decided i wanted to do something more and took a relationship manager position at Citi. I have now had 3 mngrs since starting 7 mnths ago, and realized that working in retail banking is something that I definitely do NOT like. Any thoughts on where to go from here?

Fellow enterprise tech sales fish, I’m interested to hear your perspective. I’ve been in a rut lately and seriously considering leaving sales. I think it’s primarily fueled by one thing:
After a 6 mo cycle I closed a large deal (4x the average deal size) prior to receiving delayed 2022 comp plans. The deal counts as a 2022 deal. On last years comp plan it would’ve paid out at 10%. This year it pays out at a measly 4%.

How do you/have you navigated your way through and out of these situations?

Has anyone pivoted to a fed gov job in the intelligence space? Such as a civilian intelligence specialist, etc. would be curious to hear your path! Thanks.

The billable hours and lack of work life balance are really getting to me and I am looking to switch to something else out of litigation, preferably in house.
