Has anyone heard of a coworker leaving investment banking for a boot camp for coding or product design? What was their experience?

Conventional wisdom is always that if you don’t start there it’s hard to “trade up”. My coworker and I just did it to two different great v30 firms, and I’m wondering if it’s really that uncommon? I am 25 years old. Worked as a Tax consultant in International tax for a year. Later shifted to VAT and worked there for another year. Now I am thinking to join M&A. While one side I am glad that I am trying something new and having a diverse experience but again I feel I am becoming Jack of all and Master of None. Any advice is appreciated

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.

Has anyone left big 4 or other PA firms tax transaction service groups for industry (or know of anyone)? Burned out in current role. 10-plus years post-MBA experience in Corp Fin role unable to move up to Director due to lack of "scope" - limited to no opps. Currently, work 40-50 hours week (minimal to no weekends) and earn ~250 TC. Work day is "intense" - many quick turnaround projects from task to task.

Hi all. I was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder type 2 and it’s been hard to heal with the ups and downs of a very competitive sales position in the current market. Before taking FMLA for 12 weeks I was a top performer. Any advice from those that also live with bipolar disorder, or advice on a potentially a less stressful position to ease out of sales? Help!! My bestfriend is doing two months abroad and was trying to fly into turkey when they told her she couldn't because her passport expired within three months.

She went to the US Embassay in Athens knowing she had a month left of traveling, and gave her an emergency passport and punched holes in her exsisting one. Now no country will let her in with her emergency passport.

Can her mom get her a passport in the US and ship it to her? Is there anyway around this?
