History of BCG layoffs anyone?
Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

Don’t worry, you’ll eventually settle, my personal advice would be never get too comfortable at one place. I myself stayed a decade with Tcs and moved out recently to CTS, am feeling the same too, but sometimes we need to get out of the comfort zone and push us to grow
I am also moving out from TCS after working for 9 Years and will be joining CTS. How's your experience and anything specific I should be prepared for before I join?
First switch for me as well. Joining Accenture this Saturday. Having similar thoughts
You'll feel very welcomed. Dw
Even I am going to move out of my current organization after working for 5 years where i joined as a fresher. Got frustrated due to variety of reasons. But yet I was nervous at the thought of switching.
I am finally in my last week of notice period got my offers in hand and also negotiated for a higher package today. More than anything I feel confident with each passing day. Definitely there is anxiety, but how I am thinking about this is that, in the new organization no one knows you, no judgements (you are not considered as a baccha(fresher) as you are a lateral here), you can start fresh. New projects, new domain, new people, all I have to do is give my best. And the 100% salary hike is a motivation factor. I am not thinking about WLB, because initially it won't be...And its a compensation of all the useless years i have spent in my current organization. After few months its going to be all fine.
And at the max what will happen, they will fire you, but that doesn't mean you cannot get another opportunity, market is really good currently. Within a month definitely we can get an offer in hand. So don't worry about fire and stuff. Just grab the opportunity.
If it's TCS, do not think much.. Not sure of other companies.
Nothing will happen. Just be positive and deliver your best. It justs take some time to get settle down in new company
Not TCS I switched from tcs

Things couldn't get that bad that we will get fired🤣
Which company?
Synechron
I am also feeling the same before swirch and considering my present organization's retention offer
I will also be leaving tcs. Feeling the same as yours. I think its ok to feel that and move on with positive attitude. Best wishes.
Thanks. All the best to you too

I am freaking out while going through the number of comments 😄
It's gonna be fine. The feeling of fear will gradually decrease
I am also moving out of tcs after nearly 5 years(fresher joined), feeling nervous and thoughts are running.
All the best!
